Inspiration
Selected for the San Francisco General Hospital Foundation Hearts in San Francisco Campaign, this piece brings imagery of local flora and fauna to the project. The heart is envisioned as a native Dutchman's Pipe leaf, the food for the native Pipevine Swallowtail butterfly. The butterflies are depicted in a dimensional caterpillar stage, landing atop the leaf/heart and resting flat on the leaf.
